3. Canada Day at Princess Auto Stadium
Celebrate Canada Day at Princess Auto Stadium with a day full of fun and festivities! This free, family-friendly event is packed with entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Tailgate Kickoff Party
Start the celebration early in the tailgate area, where you can enjoy live music from local bands, a variety of food trucks offering Canadian classics, and plenty of family-friendly activities.
Event Highlights
- Mainstage Performances: The mainstage comes alive at 3:00 PM with performances from local talents like Brandi Vezina, Neighbour Andy, Catie St. Germain, and Indian City. The excitement builds up to our headliner, the Sam Roberts Band, with special guest Doc Walker.
- Cultural and Family Activities: Explore a local market, enjoy kids’ activities, and experience the entertainment at the tailgate stage. Food vendors will be on-site, including Beavertails, Just Loaded Food Truck, Blue Truck Smokies, Walleye Wagon, Tot Wheels, and more.
- Family-Friendly Entertainment: Enjoy face painting, storytelling, inflatables, and other activities designed for all ages. The day will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the city skyline at dusk.
Tickets
Tickets for the event are free and available online for the mainstage performances. No tickets are required for access to the tailgate celebration, which runs from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

- For assistance or if you are unable to claim tickets online, contact Fan Services at 204-784-7448.
Remember, children under the age of 2 do not need a ticket to attend. Additionally, if possible, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to support Harvest Manitoba.

Parking and Transportation: Parking around the stadium is free, subject to availability, and Winnipeg Transit will release the transportation schedule two weeks before Canada Day. We encourage attendees to walk or bike to the stadium if possible. A bike valet service will be provided for cyclists.

Transportation and Parking
Parking in Assiniboine Park is limited and can be difficult to find during large events. Please consider carpooling or using alternate transportation options like public transit or active transportation. Click here for parking lot locations.
A park and ride will be available at the Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) located at 500 Shaftesbury Blvd. A shuttle will transport visitors from CMU, to the Park, and back from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm. The final ride departs at 5:30 pm.
A Canada Day Shuttle will be travelling between The Forks and Assiniboine Park from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm. Details coming soon.
